Annual Student Fee

Welcome to the O'Connor High School Orchestra

​​We are proud to offer a comprehensive program that provides students with a diverse range of learning experiences and performance opportunities.

 

Our program is funded by the district, but unfortunately, the amount we receive is limited. To supplement our funding, we require an annual student fee and fundraising. The orchestra fees and fundraising monies are important components of our program. So let's answer the most common question we get, "why am I paying a student fee?"

 

Let's break down some of what it covers:

  • Orchestra T-Shirt for Casual Uniform: Each student receives an orchestra t-shirt, which serves as part of our casual uniform during rehearsals and performances.

  • Clinicians for Region, All-State & UIL: Bringing in professional clinicians enhances our students’ musical skills. These experts provide valuable insights and coaching during rehearsals and workshops.

  • UIL & Related Fees: Participating in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) involves entry fees for competitions, evaluations, and other related expenses.

  • Instrument Repairs & Equipment: We allocate funds to maintain and repair instruments. Ensuring that our students have well-functioning instruments is essential for their musical growth.

  • Rental of Formal Uniforms: Our formal performances require elegant attire. The orchestra fee covers the rental of formal uniforms for concerts and special events.

  • Field Trip Bus Fees: Orchestra field trips, whether to attend performances or workshops, involve transportation costs. The fee contributes to these expenses.

  • Automatic Booster Membership: By paying the orchestra fee, parents automatically become members of our booster organization. Boosters play a vital role in supporting our program.

  • End-of-Year Banquet, Senior Scholarships, Concerts, and More: The fee contributes to our end-of-year banquet, scholarships for graduating seniors, and various concerts throughout the year.

 

Mrs. Johnson, our dedicated orchestra director, is committed to nurturing our students’ musical talents,   providing guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for growth.

Annual Student Fee Installment Agreement Form

Please complete the form if you would like to pay the annual fee in two installments.

2024-2025 Annual Student Fee $150

I/We acknowledge that the annual student fee for the upcoming school year is $150 and can be paid in two equal installments of $75 via the orchestra website.


Payment Schedule:

  • 1st Payment: Due October 1, 2024

  • 2nd Payment: Due January 1, 2025


Please note, partial payments are not eligible for banquet ticket discounts. To attend the banquet in April 2025, the student fee must be paid in full.
